Our Story
Established in 2019, Brilliant Girl Finance Inc. is a movement rooted in one idea: financial education is not a side effect of wealth, wealth is a side effect of financial education. Started by Qadirah Abdur-Rahman, we aim to provide American communities, (especially Black American slave descendant communities) the tools, tips and motivation needed to sustain income and master the language of wealth. Our goal is to develop a village of sharp money mindsets so that our entire black diaspora can maintain positive financial health and build wealth.

Brilliant Girl Finance promotes service-learning as a critical pedagogy for student academic, civic, social emotional and wealth building development.

If you’re a school, or community program, rest assured that our e-learning and in person courses will indeed help your learners or students understand finance. We prepare the youth and adults in groups and teach the basic fundamentals of money management. While teaching the history of black wealth, we empower our groups to believe that they will achieve financial freedom. Paired with our in house tools, the benefit of our courses allows for participants to understand how money works in America and will prepare consumers to avoid common money mistakes.

What We Offer
8 Week Financial Readiness Courses for Schools & Learning Programs
According to The Road to Zero Wealth report, the median wealth of black Americans will fall to zero by 2053 if current trends continue. With that in mind, it is necessary to prepare our youth and adults to understand finance and build appreciating assets as early as possible. Accountability Groups
The best way to kick off your economic growth journey is to understand where you are. Our accountability groups help members of the community have an honest realization of what habits are needed to improve their finances. Join our facebook group here.
